Austria and Italy Tyrol and Vorarlberg Tyrol and the Salzburger Land are our second home. I sometime was i the Leutschtal und at the Achensee. South Tyrol and the Trentino With the children they were very often in Rauris in the Gästehaus Luggau or at other beautiful places such as Wagrain, Schwendt, St. Ulrich at the Pillersee, Leogang or Saalbach/Hinterglemm. In addition, in South Tyrol they already have visited several places such as Winnebach, St. Ulrich, Algund or Schenna; but at no place they were as often as in Partschins near to Meran. This beautiful, contemplative resort was the starting point to them for ski travels into Obereggen/Fassatal/Val di Fiemme or on the Schnalstal glacier. Now I am here (the children remain rather at home) and I accompany them on the investigation routes though the dolomites. But we very often start also on foot to great tours for hours in the nature park Texel or along the Waalwege in the Vinschgau or Meraner country. Vacations in South Tyrol are in particular very different in the spring. While there is already spring in the valley, you can marvelously drive ski in many areas, for example on the Seiser Alm or at Obereggen / Val di Fiemme.  For me it is naturally enough to rave in the snow. In the valley there are always possibilities for cooling: The clear water in the "Waal" or in the river Passer. In addition, the autumn is particularly beautiful in South Tyrol. Holiday The vacation period is one of the most beautiful times of the yearl Then I cannot go to the Agility and Obedience training, but therefore I can be with my herd all day long. They spent so far only one single ski vacation in the Alpbachtal without me, but they missed me so much that they wouldn't make a ski tour without me anymore. And the best is that they select the destination regarding my requirements. But what does one golden retriever need at the vacation? 1. Discharge and long walks 2. Swimming in the clean clear water 3. Rave in the snow 4. Beautiful weather but not too hot) Thus the question arises again and again: Do we drive to the sea, in sea and/or river landscape or to the mountains? Baltic Sea In the summer and autumn 2002 we spent our vacation there. It pleased me very well. Particularly the trips to the Baltic Sea were beautiful and we had real action. In the autumn I was allowed to run on the beach nearly everywhere. Even if the water did not taste, I had very much fun. But also the "Holsteinische Seenplatte" invites to take a bath. On the boat tour (5-Seen- Rundfahrt) there was really action: Everywhere seabirds and ducks. Despite the name “Holsteinische Schweiz" (Switzerland) I could not find high mountains. We should soon make also a vacation in the Switzerland, perhaps then I will know, whats the origin of this name. Neue Bundesländer Thuringa/Saxony Particularly the trips at the storage lakes in the nature park Thuringian slate mountains/upper Saale pleased me well. But also Erfurt, Weimar, the Friedewald near Moritzburg, Dresden, Meißen, Pirna and the Bastei in the sächsischen Schweiz are very beautiful Brandenburg/Saxony-Anhalt Directly at the "road of Romantics" in the "Saaleschleife" our country house was located. It was our starting point for several routes: Leipzig, Weimar, Erfurt, Halle…).. Many small rivers and lakes in the vinicultural district offered thereby welcome refreshment and opportunity for resting. But I love also the Senftenberger See and the Spreewald near to Lübbenau. .
